Introductory Strings Ensemble

ABOUT
Introductory Strings Ensemble is for students in Grades 3 - 5 enrolled at Pacific Academy for the 2025/2026 school year and who are interested in learning the viola, violin, or cello without having any previous experience. 

INSTRUCTOR
Ms. Mylana Spoelstra 

LOCATION
Drop off and pick up will be in the cafeteria.
Instructors will escort students to and from their class location.

DATES
Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 to Tuesday, June 16th, 2026
Time: 2:55 PM - 3:55 PM
Please note, classes follow the school calendar, so there will be no classes on days that school is not in session.

COST
Total Program Cost: $463
Payment Options: Cash, Cheque, or Credit Card
(All Credit Card payments will be subject to a 4% Convenience Fee)
Payment Due Dates:

• First half due upon registration
• Second half due October 15, 2025

Sibling Discounts and Multi-Program Discounts available for early registrations (before the program start date) only.

ATTIRE
Students will remain in their school uniform.

INSTRUMENT
Students are required to have their own string instrument.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Rehearsals are weekly, and must be considered a priority.
Practicing at home is essential.
The instructor will provide all the music needed.
Families must provide instruments (renting from Long & McQuade is recommended).
There will be a minimum of two performance opportunities each year. More details to be given closer to the date.

REGISTRATION
Registration opens on May 1, 2025 at 8:00 AM and closes on October 5, 2025 at 11:59 PM or once the program is full. A waitlist is available at no cost.
