Young Performers

ABOUT
Our Young Performers class is for students enrolled in Kindergarten - Grade 3 at Pacific Academy for the 2025/2026 school year. This fun-filled program provides children with a playful and engaging introduction to the world of drama and performance. Through simple acting exercises, creative games, and storytelling activities, children will explore the basics of acting, expression, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. Children will use their voices, bodies, and imaginations to bring stories to life. They will participate in exciting drama games, pretend to be their favourite characters, and even put on mini performances with a focus on confidence-building and creativity. Each session helps children develop important skills such as self-expression, cooperation, and problem-solving, all while having fun! Whether your child is a natural performer or simply loves to play and pretend, this class is a perfect opportunity to nurture their creativity, boost their self-esteem, and make new friends.

LOCATION
Students will be picked up by a staff member from their K-2 classroom after school and be brought to the cafeteria. Grade 3 students will meet in the cafeteria promptly at the end of their school day.
Pick up will be at the cafeteria promptly when class finishes.

Wednesday, September 10th, 2025 to Wednesday, June 17th, 2026
Time: 2:45 PM - 4:15 PM
Please note, classes follow the school calendar, so there will be no classes on days that school is not in session.

ATTIRE
As this class runs immediately after school students may remain in their school uniform. For children with long hair, please have this pulled back off the face.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Children will be given a small snack at the start of their program. Please ensure all allergies are listed and provide us with up-to-date information. 
To celebrate student learning and work throughout the year, students will be invited to participate in a year-end performance. A dress rehearsal will be held in the week before the performance. More details will be given closer to the date.

REGISTRATION
Registration opens on May 1, 2025 at 8:00 AM and closes on October 5, 2025 at 11:55 PM or once the program is full. A waitlist is available at no cost.
