Advanced Art

ABOUT
Our Advanced Art class is for students enrolled in Grade 3 - 7 at Pacific Academy for the 2026/2027 school year. Students will explore painting and drawing using a variety of mediums. They will learn how to properly use pencils, fine point pens, and more! Works of are will be created with oil pastels and coloured pencils, focusing on life and still life drawings. Students will be required to bring a set of basic supplies (see list below). Foundational art skills from 2+ years of experience in art lessons required.

Drop off and pick up will be in the cafeteria for Grade 2 - 7 students.

DATES

Thursday, September 10th, 2026 to Thursday, June 17th, 2027
Time: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Please note, classes follow the school calendar, so there will be no classes on days that school is not in session.

COST
Total Program Cost: $925
Payment Options: Cash, Cheque, or Credit Card
(All Credit Card payments will be subject to a 4% Convenience Fee)
Payment Due Dates:

• First half due upon registration
• Second half due October 15, 2026

Sibling Discounts and Multi-Program Discounts available for early registrations (before the program start date) only.

ATTIRE
As this class runs immediately after school students should remain in their school uniform. Art smocks will be provided when needed. 

SUPPLIES
Basic art supplies will need to be purchased ahead of time by families and sent with each student on the first day of class.
Please purchase the following art supplies:

• Paint Liquitex x 12 tubes
• Paint Brushes
• Sketching Pencil Set
• Oil Pastels
• Coloured Pencil Set
• Mix Media Pad
• Clay Tool Set

Please note that the above links are the recommended brands, as lower quality supplies and materials will make a difference in the quality of art created. Any special or extraneous material will be provided by the instructor.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Children will be given a small snack at the start of their program. Please ensure all allergies are listed and provide us with up-to-date information. 

REGISTRATION
Registration opens on May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes on October 5, 2026 at 11:55 PM or once the program is full. A waitlist is available at no cost.
