Inter Lyrical

ABOUT
Our Inter Lyrical Contemporary class is for students enrolled in Grades 3 - 5 at Pacific Academy for the 2026/2027 school year. Lyrical is a dance style that combines techniquea of jazz, ballet, and contemporary through an expressive flow of movement. The emphasis in lyrical is on the "lyrics" of a song, and using emotion and facial expressions to tell a story. Lyrical classes offer students a focus on technique, balance,strength, and posture. Each class includes warm up, stretching, core strengthening, and combinations across the floor. Inter Lyrical will finish with a choreographed year end performance.

Drop off and pick up will be in the cafeteria.
Instructors will escort students to and from their class location.

Monday, September 14th, 2026 to Monday, June 21st, 2027
Time: 2:55 PM - 4:25 PM
Please note, classes follow the school calendar, so there will be no classes on days that school is not in session.

Total Program Cost: $745
Costume Deposit: $70

ATTIRE
Students should wear a bodysuit or t-shirt with shorts or leggings, form-fitting stretchy clothing, and hair pulled back off the face.
Students in Grades 3 - 5 who are enrolled in a dance class should meet in the cafeteria immediately after school. Girls will change into their dance attire in the dance room and boys will have a separate changing area (boys bathroom or single use staff bathroom, depending on how many are enrolled).

FOOTWEAR
Required footwear for Lyrical is foot undies.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Children will be given a small snack at the start of their program. Please ensure all allergies are listed and provide us with up-to-date information. 
To celebrate student learning and work throughout the year, students will be invited to participate in a year-end performance. A dress rehearsal will be held in the week leading up to the performance. More details will be given closer to the date.

REGISTRATION
Registration opens August 11th, 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes on October 5th, 2026 at 11:55 PM or once the program is full. A waitlist is available at no cost.
