Open Jazz Tech

ABOUT
Our Open Jazz Tech class is for students in Grades 1 - 12 at Pacific Academy for the 2026/2027 school year. Students will learn foundational jazz technique and increase their overall fitness and flexibility. This class is mandatory for students enrolled in Junior Pre-Competitive Jazz and Inter Competitive Lyrical.

LOCATION
Drop off and pick up will be in the cafeteria.
Instructors will escort students to and from their class location.

DATES
Thursday, September 10th, 2026 to Thursday, June 17th, 2027
Time: 5:15 PM - 6:15 PM
Please note, classes follow the school calendar, so there will be no classes on days that school is not in session.

COST
Total Program Cost: $463

(All Credit Card payments will be subject to a 4% Convenience Fee)

• First half due upon registration

ATTIRE
Students should wear a bodysuit or t-shirt with shorts or leggings, form-fitting stretchy clothing, and hair pulled back off the face. Students should arrive at their class in the appropriate dance attire.

FOOTWEAR
Required footwear for jazz tech is black jazz shoes or foot undies.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please send your child with a full water bottle.
As this is a technique class, students will not be learning a routine to perform in the year-end performance but instead, they will practice exercises throughout the year to improve their technique and flexibility. 

REGISTRATION
Registration opens May 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes on October 5, 2026 at 11:55 PM, or after the program is full. A waitlist is available at no cost.
