Description

Does your child love animals, exploring nature, and letting their imagination run wild through writing? This engaging camp is perfect for young writers who enjoy learning, creating, and bringing their ideas to life! Each day will begin with a hook book—a captivating read-aloud that sparks curiosity, builds background knowledge, and inspires that day’s writing adventure. Campers will explore a variety of fun and meaningful writing activities, including researching and presenting an animal of their choice, writing a creative “How to Catch a Bear” procedural story, and designing their very own campground complete with descriptive writing. Students will also dive into imaginative storytelling, crafting their own unique stories filled with creativity and voice. Beyond writing, campers will enjoy hands-on activities like games, art projects, and building challenges connected to their work—bringing their ideas off the page and into the real world.
